The dune grass on the right provides foreground weight and depth. The horizon sits high enough to feature the cloudscape without crowding. The main weakness is balance: the dense grass on the right edge is heavy and slightly cluttered, while the left foreground is comparatively empty. A touch more room ahead of the beach chairs would ease the tension.

The light is directional enough to model the clouds and give the sea some texture, but it reads as broad daylight rather than the low, raking golden light that would make the sand luminous and lengthen shadows. The dune grass catches some warmth on the right, hinting at what better timing could deliver. Highlights on the whitecaps hold, and the cloud shadows add drama to the sky. Overall the light is serviceable and clean but lacks the sculpting quality that transforms a coastal scene.

Exposure is well controlled across a wide brightness range. White balance looks accurate with no obvious cast. Contrast is healthy, giving the clouds volume and the water depth. Saturation is pushed enough to make the scene vivid without tipping into artificial. The green foliage on the right is the busiest tonal area and slightly dominant; muting it a touch or letting the warm grass lead would refine the palette further.

The settings are well judged for the genre. At 22mm and f/11 on the D3300's APS-C sensor, depth of field is deep enough to hold sharpness from the foreground grass through to the distant café and headland, which is exactly what a scene with this much depth needs. ISO 220 keeps noise negligible and preserves clean shadow detail. The 1/500s shutter is faster than necessary for a static landscape but does a fine job freezing the wind-blown grass, avoiding any smeared foreground. Focus appears accurately placed with critical sharpness in the midground. The kit-range focal length is appropriate for the wide coastal sweep, though the corners of the frame — particularly the far right grass — show the softness typical of an inexpensive zoom at the edges. A slightly slower shutter would have allowed base ISO for the cleanest possible file, but the practical result here is well within professional tolerance for a handheld daylight landscape.
