What holds the shot back is the ghosting: the parked or moving SUV registers as a semi-transparent double image, which reads as accidental rather than deliberate. The light trails are strong, but the central car muddies the visual story. A cleaner decision — either freeze a still vehicle sharply or embrace pure trails with no half-rendered subject — would lift this considerably.

The teal-and-red grade is the image's signature and it works — a classic cinematic complementary split that suits the rainy urban mood. The reflections carry warm orange and cool cyan side by side without turning muddy. Blacks are deep and the midtones in the pavement retain texture. The only caution is that the grade leans heavily into the same two hues everywhere, flattening some tonal variety; a touch more neutral separation in the building midtones would keep the palette from feeling one-note.

This is where the image struggles. The central SUV renders as a translucent double exposure — visible ghosting where it appears to have moved or been lit differently across the exposure. During a long exposure this happens when a subject shifts or a shorter flash of light partially registers it, and here it reads as an unintended artefact rather than a creative choice.
