The vertical framing gives the sky room to breathe while the tree line forms a natural amphitheatre around the road. What most holds it back is the balance between elements: the light trail runs bright and slightly blown, competing with the subtler galactic core above, and the sky, while rich in stars, sits a touch dark and cool. Tightening the trail's exposure and lifting the core would let both halves sing together.

The vertical orientation is the right call, giving the Milky Way vertical extent while the framing trees on both edges enclose the scene like a proscenium. The S-curve of the light trail sweeps the eye from lower left through the frame, a strong leading line into the foreground grass. The galactic core sits nicely above the tree gap. The dark left-edge conifer is heavy and slightly crowds the frame, and the foreground grass occupies real estate without much detail. A hair more sky above the core would help.
