A well-timed water-drop rebound column caught mid-rise, with concentric ripples radiating outward and satellite droplets suspended in air — the moment is the strength here. What holds it back is the soft rendering of the central column, which lacks the crisp edge and internal detail that make these images sing, and a flat, low-contrast grey palette that leaves the whole frame slightly muddy. The horizon line sitting high and the column placed just left of centre work, but the top third of surface reflection is a large, undifferentiated grey mass. Sharper focus and a lift in contrast would transform this.
